hospitality i.t. epos & pms solutions

rolys.jpgRoly Saul's latest restaurant has recently opened in Thurles, Co. Tipperary to great acclaim. Based in a tastefully refurbished building which was formally a hotel, Roly @ Park Avenue offers both a relaxed brasserie downstairs and a fine dining experience on the first floor. With a bar on the ground floor, and kitchens both upstairs and down, a point of sale solution that could match in-depth functionality with flexibility was certainly the order of the day for Roly and his partner, Ronnie Carr. Maitre'D EPoS from Hospitality I.T. was selected following a number of demonstrations where the client needs were discussed and the point of sale was configured to demonstrate how these requirements were met. With regular menu changes and a selection of specials available on a daily basis, the system had to be capable of being swiftly programmed with updates seamlessly delivered to the appropriate terminals. Hospitality I.T. wish Roly & Ronnie every success @ Park Avenue and look forward to working with them again in their new venture - Roly Saul, The Restaurant.

the hungry monk resturant

Father and son, Pat & Julian Keown, proprietors of the long established restaurant, The Hungry Monk have recently taken the leap to move from hand-written and manually calculated billing to a touchscreen Maitre'D EpoS solution. Operating for over 25 years with manual dockets for both the customer bill and the kitchen, Pat had looked for a solution that delivered him the ease of use of a pen and pad but could provide him with informative and targeted business information. The Hungry Monk operates almost as two restaurants in one, with a relaxed bistro experience on the ground floor and an intimate restaurant on the first floor offering what has to be one of Ireland's largest wine collections with almost 700 bottles available to the discerning wine connoisseur. Pat had a number of requirements in his new EPoS solution including increased accuracy in orders reaching the kitchen, stock control, detailed reporting and all without hampering the informal nature of this long established family business. Pat gets daily email reports following the End of Day procedure, providing him with a concise record of the previous day's figures so he can monitor business performance regardless of where he is.

uni_ulster.gifThe University of Ulster School of Hospitality recently relocated from its former Portrush Campus to a new purpose built site in Belfast city centre. The new training restaurant, The Academy, required a point of sale solution that would not only operate as a regular business but would also provide the university students with an insight into a world leading EPoS solution. With responsibility of training the students who will be the restaurant managers of tomorrow, it was important that their investment in an EPoS solution would be an integral part of the students' coursework and practical experience. Hospitality I.T. were delighted to be chosen to deploy Maitre'D point of sale, the international EPoS software that will give the students relevant and top-end experience for their future careers. The Academy restaurant offers a range of menus from relaxed breakfasts and lunches to formal A La Carte and set menu offerings, to both students, lecturers and the public. The Maitre'D software enables The Academy restaurant to have menu updates daily and for these changes to be easily programmed by both lecturers and students.
